       Tonight I have been listening to some good music but its been all over the place as far as style.  Lets start with this   .

Lunch and a movie with my Wife.

     Yesterday after the eye doctor me and the wife  went to lunch at Captain D's  and then the movie.  Now we enjoyed our selves till I pointed out  how pathetic we have become . It took a doctors visit to get us out of the house to eat lunch on senior day at a cheap restaurant  and go to the movies using free tickets my daughter gets using her movie pass membership.

      Ok my wife vision is back to 20/20 so she has to drive  you see I have  ONE major rule while in a vehicle . One person drives all others keep there mouth shut about it. My wife couldn't keep her mouth shut about my driving or yours ,  so I let her drive.

     Captain D's was normal but  2 meals and drinks for 10.98 made it almost good.  

     The movie we went to see was  "I Can Only Imagine "  if you haven't seen or heard about it here is its trailer .

    We have been doing dinner and a movie every week or so. Its a good reason to get out of the house and it doesn't cost that much. My daughter has a movie pass membership and she gets a ticket on Friday for a movie then turns it in for an advance ticket on say Wednesday then does it again on Sunday . We get 2 tickets to the movie for free. A movie pass membership is only 105$ year .That's the cost of 8 movie's. If you can find 2 decent movies a month to see it is a bargain.

My old truck isnt as dead as i thought.

      Yesterday I carried all the trash I had loaded on my old truck to the church dumpster across the road. It is emptied a 5 am EVERY TUESDAY. I have coffee at 5.15 on Tuesday morning because it wakes me up. After I got that load off the truck  I go back to the house and start grabbing more stuff to haul over to the dumpster. By the time I was done I could barely close the lids . Now a lot of the stuff was my son's trash from his old camper and scrap wood I had lying around .

         The old truck had a water leak and spent all winter with no water in it . Right before I got sick I had 4 freeze plugs replaced and one still dripped. I never got a chance to take it back and it has been so long asking him to fix it now would be wrong . Well I filled the radiator with water drove it to the gas station and put 5 dollars in the tank drove it back home . The temp gage hit 190 or so but that is its normal .  I saw no leaks under it. This morning I take the radiator cap off its still full. I drove it about 20 miles still not running hot  and no leaks. All I can think is when I filled it with water it had some rust that got stuck where the freeze plug leak was. I was going to seal it with liquid glass and copper shaving but with no leak It won't work. liquid glass

     

    Wow this is the only picture I have of my truck  and its 5 years old at least. After 12 months of not leaving the yard it now has a nice green and yellow tint to it. Next up it get washed and bleached when the sun is out.

Auto part people and yard work

   Sunday the temp climbed to 70 by 10 am . That seems like what it takes for me to quit having chills. I decided to clean up around here as it has been a year since I was able to do much.  Over the last month on warm days I have piddled with this and that but not really accomplishing much. What I wound up with was a bunch of unfinished projects. I felt froggy it was time to finish a few of those projects.

     First thing was a bunch of brush I had cut back in January needed burnt . So I got that started . Next was I needed to crank my riding mower . I had pulled the battery before Christmas and put it on a float charger so it wouldn't need to be replaced. Got it back in went and got a gallon of premium no alcohol gas 2.99 . I need to fill a 5 gallon can with that . The riding mower started right up first try. The grass wasn't high but decided to do a quick pass around the back yard.  Nothing, I forgot the deck belt broke last fall cutting leaves .                                                                                                                 It Sunday so its O'Rileys for the belt  it takes an A75 v belt.  I tell the kid A75 v belt  Gates mfg. He looks lost  I need the application to look it up he said. No its an A75 that's the part # son. Son let me talk to the manager . Over comes the manager he is my age I figure he is their go to guy WRONG !!!! He is as Dumb as the kid. A 3rd man comes over asks me to repeat what I wanted so for the 5th time I ask for  A75 gates belt . It an A groove 78 inch belt for a mower . Now this man finds me a 78 inch mower belt proper which is a woven belt for 38.99 .   HELL  NO !!!!   They break as fast as a cheap A belt . I leave there and go to auto zone . First counter person didn't even try because without make model and year he admitted he was useless . I can respect him for admitting it and finding me someone that could help. The man he passed me to knew what I was looking for said they didn't stock them but could order me one for12.99 be in Wednesday or I could try a 4L780  for 13.99 and he had them in stock .  A 4L is a little wider than an A belt but it seems to be working better than the A belt did less slippage. My normal store is NAPA. I worked at their warehouse back in the 80s  I pulled belts and hoses for 145 stores for 3 years .

      I finally get back home reload the brush burn pile spend a hour putting the belt on twice. I had it twisted and it jumped track first try. Keep feeding the fire cut the front yard . Raked leaves and trash up around the garage to add to the fire. 
      What won't burn that I want gone I load on to my old white truck . I jumped it off and moved it around to load  it and let it run to charge the battery but I  have to watch so it don't run hot. I worked from 10 am till 6pm but I wrapped up a lot of odds and ends. I was tired and sore but in a good normal way.

    

Congressman test

  An old country preacher had a teenage son, and it was getting time to
where the boy should give some thought to
choosing a profession. One day, while the boy was away at school, his
father decided to try an experiment.
He went into the boy's room and placed on his study table four objects:
1. A Bible
2. A silver dollar
3. A bottle of whiskey
4. A Playboy magazine.

"I'll just hide behind the door," the old preacher said to himself.
"When he comes
home from school today, I'll see which object he picks up and is interested in.
If it's the Bible, he's going to be a preacher like me, and what a
blessing that would be!
If he picks up the dollar, he's going to be a business man and that
would be okay, too.
But if he picks up the bottle, he's going to be a no-good drunken bum,
and, Lord, what a shame that would be.
And worst of all, if he picks up that magazine he's going to be a
skirt-chasing womanizer."

The old man waited anxiously, and soon heard his son's footsteps as he
entered the house
whistling and headed for his room. The boy tossed his books on the
bed, and as he turned to leave
the room he spotted the objects on the table. With curiosity in his
eyes, he walked over to inspect them.

Finally, he picked up the Bible and placed it under his
arm. He picked up the silver dollar and dropped it into his pocket. He
uncorked the bottle and took a big drink, all the while admiring the
magazine's centerfold.

"Lord have mercy," the old preacher breathed to himself. "He's gonna
run for Congress."

Why are men ashamed of acting like men !

       I know this is old news but why are so many rich and famous men apologizing for misbehaving with and around women. Today me and the wife were watching some show that was bashing all the men that did actresses wrong .Then they started talking about Stormy Daniels and Trump   who cares ( I downloaded one of her movies she looks better dressed than naked).

     Most all these men  are powerful and rich .WHY should they be ashamed grab that ass squeeze that boob if she slaps you move on that's what men have always done . We take the slap we earned it , If we don't notice or act like we want a female that  pisses them off to so  we lose no matter what .
