Dividing projects

      I am no longer physically able to do big projects from start to finish like I want to. So I am looking around at stuff I want to get done before summer camping season gets here.  1 st up is clean out my old vending trailer and get it listed for sale. My son left it a pig sty even left peanuts in a 5 gallon pot and BBQ in the half pan in the oven. I spent today getting the bulk filth cleaned out . This project has been divided into 6 to 8 sections for easier  work . It will take me a week or more at 2 to 3 hours a day. It's hard not getting in there and slamming it out in a day or 2.

     It was a hard decision to sell the vending trailer but I have to be realistic I will never be able to go back to selling like I was . I will reset it for funnel cake or fried chicken with a shallow fryer I have in storage . The trailer will get a fresh coat of paint outside and be ready to go I plan on asking 6900 and taking any cash offer 5500 or better. I have 2 other trailers , One will be set up as a shaved Ice and hot dog unit and sold later . The last one is that 52 Yellowstone I bought last year. I may keep it incase I get a wild hair and decide to piddle with food vending later on.   These are what the trailers look like now. It is embarrassing that my son let the first one that made me a good living degrade to this. I gave him a chance !

   This one will be painted and set up for shave ice and hot dogs            

 This is the one I plan on keeping. I will expand the back window for serving. Clean and polish the aluminum shell and do a little exterior fixing I think the retro look will make it a great vendor !!!  I am thinking  a Chili bowl with grilled cheese, a good hotdog or beef slider combo.

Over doing it.

      This Sunday we had a nice warm sunny day . I decided to try and get our mobile home's roof  rebuilt . Jason our renter helped me but he is scared of ladders/ heights, his shadow and Yelling . We did good, he climbed on the ladder and I didn't holler at him to much. It took about 5 hours to replace the busted rafters and metal roofing that was busted by the tree. The sheet metal we were able to get fairly straight and reused it. Jason has always tried to help around his place and at our house. While he does rent our trailer he is more like one of our kids. The main difference is we like him .But all the twisting and bending took its toll on my neck and shoulders. I broke down and took a pain pill before bed Sunday and Aleve 3 times Monday.

       My days of big projects are over  ! I may be able to do big project's but they will have to be broken into many smaller parts done over much longer time frames. Some things are just not within my ability any longer. It rained over an inch last nite and Jason said he had no leaks so it seems it was worth the pain . Now to fix the buckling in the wall . 

       All I did today was go pay my sons property taxes. He swore he had paid them before Christmas. The certified letter delivered Monday said he lied. 42$ is a small price to insure he don't have to move back here!!  If I had known it was due before jan1 it was just 17$. OK I better stop here I have a rant on  my Son going back to his worthless ways but don't want to type it .

     Now picture 1 and 3 did nothing for me # 2 you would have to be dead not to enjoy. The rest made me feel old. Was I enjoying the beautiful lady's or the fact that they were in the kitchen?

Shit always happens when we leave town.

      We just got back from a week at the lake . It was fun and the warm weather  was a nice break for my feet and hands . Now I wasn't able to stay the whole time as Friday my oldest daughter called from emergency room where they were admitting her for Gall Bladder removal. It was severely infected and clogged so it had to come out. Even at 31 she wanted her daddy to be there when she had it done ;) . Every thing went fine and she went home Monday and went in to work today to do her and her Bosses paper work for end of the month. She did learn why I make fun of those DOC IN A BOX clinics they sent her home with Pepcid for heartburn.

    I planed on going back to the lake Sunday Morning early. At 8 I get a call from Jason who rents our mobile home that a tree has fallen on it.

    I put this roof on 5 years ago  it saved the old mobile home from being crushed . I got 4 busted rafters to fix and some siding to straighten . On the inside it shoved a 1 ft wide 3 ft long spot in the wall and  floor down 3 inches . in the picture I had already cut the tree  and come a longed  it off the M.H.  The tree was 16" across and solid but dead, it fell because the roots had rotted away. I did luck up in NO LEAKS and it has rained 2 times since.

      Finally  make it back to the lake about 3 pm Sunday afternoon. My wife wasn't bored while I was gone her sister got there as I left Friday and her daughter and best friend came up Saturday. so I missed 4 drunk females . 

     We stayed till yesterday then came back to the real world. I have already raised that wall with a screw jack but the floor didn't budge took the awning the rest of the way off the front of the M.H. My neck and gut is killing me now. The rafters are going to have to wait . I have over done it and still have more to get done.

My wife asked me what kinda truck i wanted

   # 1 is my favorite.  Tougher than any built in the last 50 years.

Wal Mart,s New in store pick Up

        In the last few months Wally world has been advertising its new pickup service. Our store has a whole area up front set up for it. They even have a dozen + parking places set aside for order pick up only. The pick up area looks like lockers and a kiosk where you enter your order# . 

     Last week me and the wife went to wally world for a few items.

 the main one was southern biscuit mix formula L .My wife and me love them they were out in fact they didn't even have a shelf tag for it anymore.

           Panic time when we got home I got on line and our store had it listed  Out of stock . Ok I log in on wal mart it showed  it available for Pick up. I ordered 4 at 7 pm Last night. At 8 this morning I get an alert on my phone my order was ready to pick up.

     Around 11 we stopped on the way to another store for stuff. We parked  up front punched our code at the kiosk a locker popped open there was our biscuit mix. In done under 3 minutes but I wanted some deli bread and I checked where the mix should be stocked none anywhere . Once home still shows as Out of stock online at that store.

   

     For stuff that is hit or miss being in stock this is the way to go !! I have never been a shop on line type but I liked this in fact I ordered some # 10 cans from Augason Farms  hash browns and dehydrated veggie soup mix. Before this I had to pay shipping. In store is free and no line. My store has never carried Augason farms  pickup date for my order is Tuesday
