If you are thinking about a used camper a must read.

Regardless of the age there are certain things you need to check when buying a used travel trailer and this link sums it up nice.

Most trailer over 15 years old are going to have some issues. At 15 years age most will only have 10 years use left in them unless you spend a little keeping them in good condition. While a vintage is nice ongoing repairs can make them a costly option to own. I wanted one but opted for a good used one instead that had more room and modern amenities' .

  1. When I see a camper or motorhome my first thought is "I wonder where that one leaks?"

    Good advice.

  2. All good points and to add to them, never by a 10+ year old motor home. They are a can of worms. A good trailer towed by your everyday truck is the best combo.

    1. Yep it is. I agree motor homes are tricky. I like pull trailers if one has a problem the truck still works or vise=versa.

    2. Motor homes and I've had a few, you never know what's not going to work because months can go by before it's used again and surprise, for no reason at all the trans goes.
Your everyday truck you know if something is about to go bad and you can fix it before it leaves you stranded. Trucks and trailers are the best way to go in my experienced opinion.
